At Absolute Inclusion, we understand that Re-engagement and Bespoke Learning Support
For some young people, disengagement from school is not a lack of ability or aspiration, but a response to anxiety, trauma, unmet need or previous experiences of education.
Absolute Inclusion provides bespoke 1:1 learning packages designed to support gradual re-engagement while rebuilding confidence, trust and positive relationships with learning. Provision is person-centred, low-pressure where needed, and shaped around the learner’s strengths, interests and readiness to engage.
Packages can include formal subjects such as English, Maths and Humanities, pathways towards Entry Level qualifications, Functional Skills and GCSEs, alongside life skills, cooking, travel training, community learning and therapeutic or creative activities such as art.
Learning can take place in school, in external settings facilitated by Absolute Inclusion, in the community, or in any other environment considered appropriate for the young person. This flexibility allows provision to develop around need rather than expecting the learner to fit a fixed model.
These packages can be particularly effective for Children Looked After (CLA), learners experiencing EBSA, and young people with complex SEND or trauma profiles. They can also be combined with baseline and psychometric assessment to identify need and inform future provision.
Where appropriate, packages can include careers advice, Preparing for Adulthood, Careers Action Plans, work experience and employability development, helping learners build a pathway towards further education, training, employment and independence.
Absolute Inclusion can also work collaboratively with schools, local authorities, families and wider professionals, ensuring educational, therapeutic and pastoral support is joined up. Progress, assessment findings and cross-professional input can be documented and shared through MDT meetings, EHCP reviews and statutory processes, supporting clear accountability and compliance for schools and all stakeholders.
The aim is not simply to return a young person to education, but to help them rebuild confidence, feel safe in learning and develop a sustainable pathway towards successful re-engagement.
